~ A Beautiful little Town called San Sebastian del Oeste~

One of our DAY trips, while we were in Puerto Vallarta for the week, was to visit San Sebastian del Oeste, a beautiful old town in the mountains of Jalisco State in Mexico. Formerly the town was known as Real de San Sebastián and later San Sebastián and since 1983, San Sebastián del Oeste is a village made up of ancient haciendas and century-old homes … Continue reading ~ A Beautiful little Town called San Sebastian del Oeste~

~ Sayulita and my Big Fat Rice Bowl ~

Sayulita is a 35 min. taxi ride from Puerta Vallarta…. well, actually we were in Nuevo Vallarta so we were already a little closer to the old surf town… our first time there. The drive was lovely, so magnificent, full of rich vegetation, such greenery, such beauty….. The weather was once again very hot, stifling actually, kinda like walking through a sauna. 32-34 C! with … Continue reading ~ Sayulita and my Big Fat Rice Bowl ~

~ Our Taco Bar Visit at the Villa del Palmar Flamingos, Puerto Vallarta ~

Another gorgeous, hot day in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and it was time to eat. My mother had never had tacos before, so off we went to check out the Taco Bar. Pretty delicious looking tacos, right!? They were indeed! They had quite the variety of vegys and sauces you could add, some spicy, some not, which was fun. But the one thing that kinda grossed … Continue reading ~ Our Taco Bar Visit at the Villa del Palmar Flamingos, Puerto Vallarta ~

~ La Trattoria at Villa del Palmar Flamingos, Puerto Vallarta ~

I feel very lucky that I was able to spend a week in Puerto Vallarta with my mother! It was a very hot week though … 32 – 34 C in fact with the humidity reaching up to 75%! ~ Waiting for our Flight in Mexico City ~

We had to wait 5 hours in Mexico City for our flight to Puerto Vallarta (no direct flights at this point and time) and we were getting hungry. I ate my fruit salad on the drive down to the Vancouver airport, ate 4 bananas,  a granola bar and drank my smoothie…. but it was definitely time to eat …. and unfortunately, there wasn’t anything vegan on … Continue reading ~ Waiting for our Flight in Mexico City ~

~ Via Mercanti Food Shop in Toronto, Kensington Market ~

A very delicious stop in Kensington Market in Toronto! The ladies here were amazing and very accommodating! The pasta had no eggs and the cheese was removed from the sauce…. I had a vegy wrap with curly fries and my son had pasta with a tomato sauce. We three kinda shared everything and we also bought a vegy soup, plus some coffee…. … another delicious, … Continue reading ~ Via Mercanti Food Shop in Toronto, Kensington Market ~

~ Calii Love in Toronto ~

We found a great place called Calii Love to have a little dinner while walking the streets of Toronto. After working out in the Gym, Good Life, for about an hour, we ordered delicious vegan bowls and smoothies!   Mine had brown rice underneath all these delicious vegys! plus ponzo tofu! Guacamole, sprouts, sweet potatoes, edamame, sesame seeds…… the dish was about $12.00. They have delicious … Continue reading ~ Calii Love in Toronto ~

~ The little Town of Ymir ~

I started out the morning with a walk to Sheep Creek with the dogs, Denny and Donner. Another gorgeous hot day, 27 C, and not so smokey from the nearby fires. British Columbia is having a bad time with fires this year, worse than any other!! Even in Whistler, we had so much smoke, you couldn’t see the mountains … only a very, very faint … Continue reading ~ The little Town of Ymir ~

~ On the Road to Salmo, B.C. ~

We left WHISTLER exactly at 6:03 p.m., drove south towards VANCOUVER, then along Highway 3 to PRINCETON where we booked the Sandman Inn for the night. (Dogs allowed!) After a decent night’s sleep, a walk with Donner the dog, we drove into the little town of PRINCETON for a picnic brunch in their little garden central. I waited outside with Donner, while they went into … Continue reading ~ On the Road to Salmo, B.C. ~
