~ Bread by Ed = BReD ~

Every Thursday morning, between 8 and 11 a.m., I go to Alta Bistro and pick up my Bread by Ed. Sometimes one loaf, sometimes two! ~ Winter’s leaving? What of the Birds?~

This morning, I met my gang of birdwatchers down at Lorimer Rd. There were 9 of us, sometimes there are more people, sometimes less. 17 cm’s fell in the mountains last night and when I left the house at 7:50, approximately 8 cm’s (3 1/2 “) lay on our stairs and sidewalk …. should I stay and shovel?  I do have the contract for this … Continue reading ~ Winter’s leaving? ~ Raspberry Chocolate Chip Muffins ~

I found this recipe on the back of the bag for Roger’s Oats, and have played around with the ingredients a little to make it my own…. I just let that sit on low while I get other … Continue reading ~ My Morning Oats ~

~ Lemon Poppy-Seed Muffins & a Morning with the Birds ~

I’m sitting out in the sunshine, on the boulders, just outside my condo, 13 C, little windy out, and waiting for my Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins to come out of the oven. The batter tasted amazing, so I am hoping the muffins do too!!  I have been inspired to try lemon poppy seed muffin recipes because my son loved the ones from the IGA, but of … Continue reading ~ Lemon Poppy-Seed Muffins & a Morning with the Birds ~
